About This Site

JP HANABI is a comprehensive information site covering fireworks festivals across Japan. For the 2026 season, we have compiled data on fireworks events across all 47 prefectures. Search by area, date, and scale. Find details on launch counts, paid seating, food stalls, and parking. Available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.

Data Sources & Quality

Our fireworks festival data is collected and integrated from the following sources:

  • Official announcements from each fireworks festival
  • Announcements from local tourism associations
  • Official announcements from local governments
  • Official event websites and organizer disclosures

※ Event details are based on organizer announcements. Events may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather or other circumstances. Please check the official event website for the most up-to-date information.

Operating Entity

JP HANABI is independently operated by VoyBird, a data-driven travel tools project for Asia and beyond. VoyBird builds independent, ad-free, multilingual tools — including JP HANABI (900+ Japanese fireworks festivals) and FujiVis (Mount Fuji visibility forecast across 19 observation points). We focus on data accuracy, multilingual access, and a clean user experience.

About the Developer

JP HANABI is operated by Voybird. I'm Citron Chan, the developer of this site.

Japan hosts over a thousand fireworks festivals every year, yet for visitors the most basic questions often go unanswered: Is this event free? Can foreigners buy tickets? Can I pay by card on site? How do I get there from the nearest station, and will trains still be running after the show? Japanese info sites treat these as common knowledge and rarely write about them, while most English guides only cover a few major events in Tokyo. JP HANABI aims to organize fireworks festivals nationwide by date and region, and fill in the information that locals take for granted but travelers genuinely need.

Event information is based on official organizer announcements. Schedules, venues, and details may change — especially cancellations or postponements due to rain. Please confirm official announcements before you go.
