Summary

Held in Chitose, Hokkaido. The venue is the JGSDF Camp Kita-Chitose, home to the 1st Artillery Brigade Headquarters. In 2026, approximately 4,000 shells will be launched to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the landing of the biplane "Hokkai" No. 1, which laid the foundation for Chitose's development. The festival features Japan's finest traditional shells up to size 4, computer-controlled illusion fireworks, and a three-dimensional layout that takes advantage of the venue's location, all fused with music to create an artistic and immersive display that paints the skies of Chitose.
