The Ōnuma Lake Festival held in Nanae, Kameda District, Hokkaido. First held in 1906 (Meiji 39) to memorialize those who perished in the lake, the festival marks its 117th edition in 2026. The festival spans two days: the first day (the 25th) features a kids' Yosakoi dance, a hero show, and a world karaoke competition; the second day (the 26th) features brass band performances, a magic show, the traditional memorial ceremony, a floating lantern ceremony, and the fireworks display. Note: On the day of the fireworks, walking paths within Ōnuma Park will be closed from the afternoon.
