From 11 a.m. the riverbed hosts stage events and a raffle, with children's booths for gold panning and fishing. At 6 p.m. comes the Perupune Fire Festival, where giant torches blaze along the riverbank for a scene of a distinctly local character. Then from 19:20 to 20:30, about 2,800 Doshin fireworks fill the night sky and close the festival. The venue is 15 minutes on foot from the Taiki Hommachi-mae stop, about 90 minutes by Tokachi Bus from JR Obihiro Station; by car it is five minutes from the Obihiro-Hirodo Churui-Taiki IC. Free parking totals about 820 spaces across several lots, including the riverbed beside the venue.
