The 'Iwanai Dotō Festival' held in Iwanai Town, Hokkaido, is a two-day summer tradition. On the first day, approximately 5,000 shells are launched with Iwanai Port as the backdrop. The brilliant blossoms of light blooming in the night sky reflect off the harbor waters, creating a breathtaking spectacle that spreads out before your eyes. At the special venue area on the west side of the Iwanai Regional Culture Center, food stalls and kitchen cars will be lined up serving local cuisine, and stage events are also planned. A children's corner is also available, making it a full-day outing that families can enjoy together. In case of stormy weather, the fireworks display will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, August 9.
