A fireworks festival held annually during the Bon season in Mikasa, Hokkaido. At this festival, the Mikasa specialty Hokkai Bon Odori is performed around a massive roughly 8-meter-tall raised platform. The cool evening fireworks show features approximately 300 shells, including star mines and set-piece fireworks, lighting up the night sky. Mikasa's Bon Odori is an intangible cultural property registered as a Hokkaido Heritage, a dance deeply rooted in local tradition.
