On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the "New Year's Eve Fireworks Festival & Torch Run" will be held at Rusutsu Resort. This event is a spectacular celebration to close out the year 2025, featuring a diverse program of activities. The event begins around 8:00 PM, with a limited quantity of hot drinks served. Afterwards, a formation ski run by ski school instructors will take place, followed by a participatory torch run exclusive to skiers that illuminates the slopes. The finale features 1,200 shells launched in sync with music from around 8:30 PM, spreading a magnificent light art across the clear winter night sky. The torch run participation fee is ¥1,000 and reservations must be made by 5:00 PM on the day of the event.
