Lake Toya Onsen Winter Fireworks 2026

Summary

The annual winter event "Lake Toya Onsen Winter Fireworks" will be held over 10 days from Tuesday, February 3 to Thursday, February 12, 2026. The venue is the pier in front of Toyako Kisen Headquarters, about a 10-minute walk from the Lake Toya Onsen Bus Terminal. Each night at 8:30 PM, a fantastic show lasting approximately 8 minutes features fireworks synchronized with music, illuminating the night sky and the lake surface. By purchasing a special paid viewing seat, you can relax while enjoying shiruko (sweet red bean soup) provided by a local Japanese confectionery shop. As there is no dedicated parking lot near the venue, use of public transportation is recommended. During the fireworks period, the "Illumination Tunnel" with approximately 400,000 lights will be lit (event period: Saturday, November 1, 2025 to Monday, April 27, 2026).
