Summary

A fireworks festival heralding the arrival of summer in the ancient capital of Hirosaki, held at the Iwakigawa Riverside Sports Park in Akudo, Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. Approximately 25,000 visitors gather to watch about 10,000 shells of fireworks of various sizes, including No. 5 shells, No. 10 (shaku-dama) shells, and star mines. A wide variety of sponsorship tickets are available, including the 'S Special Seat (Beach Bed)' where you can lie back on a beach bed and gaze up at the fireworks, and the 'D Vehicle Viewing Area' — rare in the prefecture — where auto camping is allowed.
