Dance troupes gather along the Kitakami riverbank for days of performances, but the festival's final evening belongs to the water and the sky. Lantern floats carry their soft light down the river while oni-kenbai and shishi-odori folk dances keep the banks lively. The fireworks run for 30 minutes from 19:30, with paid viewing seats and food stalls on site. Kitakami Station is only a 5-minute walk away and parking is limited to about 350 spaces, so arriving by train or securing a spot early both work well.
