Summary
The Kitakami Michinoku Performing Arts Festival is held in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture. The torokko-nagashi (floating lantern ceremony), a tradition with over 370 years of history in this region, is held simultaneously, with lanterns dyeing the surface of the Kitakami River in soft light.
