A popular fireworks festival held annually on August 15 in Tono City, Iwate, attracting over 10,000 visitors each year. Approximately 5,000 shells are launched over two hours at the grounds on the Hayase River riverside. The fireworks brilliantly color the night sky, and their sound echoes throughout the Tono Basin. With few obstructions on the spacious riverside, you can enjoy a clear view of the beautiful fireworks. In case of severe weather, the event is postponed to August 17 (Sat).
