Fireworks are scheduled to launch from 7:45 PM in 2025. The festival began in the Taisho era as a way to give thanks for the blessings of the river and to honor ancestors. The festival features a variety of events including floating lanterns, a mikoshi parade, and an elementary school marching band parade.
