22nd Port Festival - Noshiro Fireworks

Summary

One of the largest-scale fireworks festivals in Tohoku, held at Noshiro Port Shimohama Pier. Approximately 15,000 shells are launched, featuring spectacular highlights such as 3-shaku shells (approx. 90 cm in diameter), a super-wide Star Mine spanning over 1 km, and a finale of 2-shaku shells. The theme for 2026 is 'Fufutto Natsubiraki — Shomon Raisuka' (A Gentle Summer Opening — Laughter Brings Good Fortune). Pyrotechnicians from the 'Omagari Fireworks Cooperative,' which won a bronze award at the 2024 International Fireworks Competition in Montreal, Canada, and Kita Nihon Fireworks led by a 2025 Medal with Yellow Ribbon recipient will also participate, promising highly sophisticated displays blending technique and artistry. A wide variety of paid viewing seats are available, from individual seats to group seats, photographer-only seats, and wheelchair-accessible seats, with advance tickets sold online and at ticket counters.
