Summary

A fireworks festival held at the Roadside Station 'Iwaki' Island-style Fishing Port Park in Yurihonjo City, located in the southern part of Akita Prefecture. With the majestic Sea of Japan as a backdrop, the fireworks launched from Michikawa Fishing Port are a spectacular sight. Yurihonjo City is surrounded by beautiful nature including Mount Chokai and the Koyoshi River, and flourished as a port of call for Kitamaebune trading ships during the Edo period. Many historical buildings remain, making it an attractive tourist destination.
