Summary

A summer tradition held along the banks of the Akagawa River in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture. Taking advantage of the expansive riverbed, this event is one of the largest in Tohoku, with approximately 12,000 shells launched across a width of up to 700 meters, illuminating the night sky. This year's theme is 'Hibiki – Resonating Emotion, Toward a Shining Future.' It also serves as the 'National Design Fireworks Competition,' where top-tier pyrotechnicians from across the country compete, each bringing their proudest creations.
