Summary

The fireworks festival of the Kaneyama Matsuri, held over three days from August 14 (Fri) to 16 (Sun) in Kaneyama Town, Mogami District, Yamagata Prefecture. The Kaneyama Matsuri features portable shrine processions, float parades, and Bon Odori dance events. On the final day, the 16th (Sun), the Kaneyama Town Summer Evening Fireworks Festival begins at 7:30 PM to cap off the festivities. Boasting one of the longest histories in the Mogami region, approximately 2,000 shells are launched over 60 minutes.
