Summary

The Urabandai Fire Mountain Festival is held in the Urabandai area of Kitashiobara Village, Yama District, Fukushima Prefecture. Fireworks are launched at the festival finale, beautifully coloring the night sky. This festival began to console the spirits of the victims of the 1888 eruption of Mount Bandai and to commemorate those who came before. Food stalls are set up around the venue, allowing visitors to enjoy gourmet food and soak in the festival atmosphere.
