Summary

An event celebrating the New Year held from New Year's Eve into New Year's Day at the 'Fireworks Village Asakawa.' On the day, the approach to Shirayama Hime Shrine is decorated with 200 lanterns, bustling with people making their first shrine visit of the new year. Lucky charms and 'Mamori Fireworks' (protective fireworks) are also sold, along with a first-dream lottery and free hot cocoa for visitors. From midnight, New Year's Eve fireworks are launched, with No. 3 shells, No. 4 shells, and star mines painting the night sky with spectacular displays.
