Oarai Station on the Kashima Rinkai Railway is 20 minutes on foot; by car it is about ten minutes from the Mito-Oarai IC. Tickets are wristband-style, with general sales slated to close in mid-September — on September 5 the official site counted six days left, so move quickly through official channels. Official parking sold strictly in advance, with a final additional round in August. The seaside site turns windy and cool after sunset, so pack a windproof layer; sand works its way everywhere, making a sheet or towel worthwhile. The 90-minute program runs essentially without pauses, layering wide sequences over continuous lifts from the offshore rigs. Trains jam after the finale, but food stalls and an after-party run until 21:00, so lingering is a legitimate strategy.
