Summary

A traditional fireworks competition dating back to 1925 (Taisho 14), one of the nation's premier events where pyrotechnicians from across Japan compete in their craft. The competition consists of three categories: Star Mines, where hundreds of shells are launched in rapid succession; Size 10 Shells, judged on star arrangement and color when the shell bursts; and Creative Fireworks, showcasing innovative ideas unbound by conventional forms.
