Kinugawa Onsen's answer to fireworks is refreshingly simple: keep them short, and put them after the bath. On 15 evenings from August 1 to October 10, 2026, the Hyakka Ryoran Hanabi lights the sky above the Kinu-Tateiwa suspension bridge for just eight minutes, from 8:45 to 8:53 pm. Saturdays form the backbone of the schedule, joined by the Obon dates of August 14–15 and four straight nights from September 19 to 22. For the last two shows on October 3 and 10, the venue moves to the plaza right outside Kinugawa-Onsen Station. Viewing is free with no paid seats, and there are no food stalls, so plan dinner in town. The bridge is a 12-minute walk from the station, with two free parking lots on bridge nights; weather updates come via the Nikko City Tourism Association (0288-22-1525).
