Summary
A fireworks festival held in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy both tezutsu (hand-held) fireworks and aerial fireworks. Tezutsu fireworks are fireworks in which the handler holds the firework tube and shoots a column of fire straight upward. This tradition was passed down from the Mikawa region, the birthplace of the Sakakibara clan who were lords of the Tatebayashi domain, and came to be performed in Tatebayashi. Starmine aerial fireworks are also featured, beautifully adorning the summer night sky. The event will be canceled in case of severe weather.
