[*The 2026 fireworks festival has been cancelled.] Known as 'Summer in Gunma begins with Tamamura's fireworks,' this is the earliest fireworks festival held in Gunma Prefecture. The fireworks are launched in a rural area, allowing spectators to view them up close for a powerful experience. In 2025, the event was held so that not only locals but also people from outside the town could enjoy it, and in an effort to alleviate traffic congestion and street parking on surrounding roads, the 'Nokisaki Parking' (private driveway parking) system was introduced, continuing from the previous year (see official website for details). The popular special viewing area is also set up every year.
