Summary

The 'Kiryu City Fireworks Festival' is held in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. The venue is Koume Kotohira Park along the Watarase River, with approximately 3,000 shells scheduled to be launched from around 8 PM. This festival is a fully privately organized event supported by local businesses and individuals, with a variety of events held from daytime to nighttime. From 2 PM, the festival welcomes visitors with a music festival, street performances, and about 100 food stalls. In 2025, a sky lantern performance was added, further enhancing the magical nighttime atmosphere. The fireworks are launched by Sunaga Fireworks Tajima Pyrotechnics Factory in Tochigi Prefecture, which boasts techniques dating back to the Meiji era. In case of rain cancellation, October 12 (Sun) is the backup date.
