Overview
A rare chance to step inside an active air base: the grounds open to the public for an evening of bon dancing and fireworks, drawing about 42,000 visitors. The taiko drums open the program at 17:30 before the 30-minute fireworks finale. Enter through the Inariyama gate (10-minute walk from Inariyama-koen Station), the main gate (15 minutes) or the temporary gate (13 minutes), both from Iruma-shi Station — there is no parking, so come by train. With several gates, fix your meeting point by gate name, and bring cash for the stalls.
