The 73rd Toda Bridge Fireworks Festival, held on August 1, 2026 (7:00–8:30 p.m.) on the Arakawa riverbed upstream of Route 17's Toda Bridge in Toda, Saitama. Staged on the Arakawa riverbed, this long-running festival is best known for two things: shells as large as the rarely launched 10-gou size, and a joint program with the Itabashi Fireworks Festival taking place on the opposite bank, bringing the combined count to roughly 15,000 shells. JR Toda-koen Station is the closest stop — about 20 minutes on foot to the east side of the venue, and 40–60 minutes to the west depending on crowds. Traffic restrictions are in force around the site. Parking is limited and advance-purchase only, and since all seating is paid, entry requires a ticket. The event is canceled in bad weather, so check the organizer's announcements if skies look doubtful.
