Summary

Saisai is the three-day citizens' festival of Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, held in early August every year. Fireworks night falls on the festival's second day, 1 August 2026, when about 9,000 shells rise over the former Camp Asaka grounds for an hour from 7:15 pm. Last year the festival as a whole drew some 710,000 visitors. Across the three days, roughly 100 dance teams gather for the Kanhasshu Yosakoi Festa, joined by the Asaka commerce fair, brass band stages, a children's food-stall village and intercity exchange booths.
