Nemunoki Bon Chichibu Ondo Festival

Summary

Held every year on August 14th, the 'Chichibu Ondo Festival' takes place in the birthplace of Chichibu Ondo, with approximately 800 shells of fireworks lighting up the night sky. Many participants from within the town and across the prefecture compete in the free-style dance and traditional flowing dance competitions. As authentic Chichibu Ondo echoes through the shopping streets and mountains, the venue is filled with waves of participants and spectators.
