Summary

Jingu Fireworks Night Games run through the summer holidays at Meiji Jingu Stadium: 300 shells rise after the end of the fifth inning in each of 18 Swallows home games, so one ticket covers pro baseball and fireworks together.

Overview

Held at the Yakult Swallows' home park in Shinjuku, the event lets spectators watch the game and the fireworks from the same seat. Start times differ by date, so check the official site before heading out; the timing of the bursts also follows the flow of the game. There is no parking — come by train from Gaienmae (5 minutes), Shinanomachi or Kokuritsu-Kyogijo (12 minutes), or Sendagaya (15 minutes). A game ticket is required for entry.

Info for International Visitors

Best arrival time

Aim to arrive about an hour before first pitch — check each game's start time on the official site. As this is a downtown venue, station gates get crowded. There is no parking, so come by train.

With kids

Tell children their seat numbers and set a meeting point in case you get separated. With the game and fireworks back to back, simple earplugs help sound-sensitive kids.

Photography tips

Watching and photography are fine within normal etiquette. Bursts frame large from the stands, but use tripods with consideration for those around you.

Payment

A game ticket is required for entry — buy in advance where possible.
