Overview

Getting there is refreshingly simple for a Tokyo fireworks event: about 15 minutes on foot from Akabane-Iwabuchi or Shimo stations on the Tokyo Metro, or 20 minutes from JR Akabane's east exit. The show runs a compact 18:30–19:30. Program highlights include pyrotechnics by Marugo, a maker often introduced as the 'magician of fireworks,' a drone segment by Redcliff, and moving-light staging. Free areas open at 15:00 and paid zones at 16:00, and organizers ask spectators to be on the riverbed by 17:30 at the latest. It is rain-or-shine but cancelled without a reserve date in storms. Smoking, pets and tripods are prohibited inside, while bringing your own food and drinks (including alcohol) is allowed. There is no parking, so trains are effectively mandatory; international visitors can also buy tickets through KKday.
