The 'Hakone-en Summer Night Festa,' held on Lake Ashi in Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a charming fireworks festival that lights up summer nights. In 2026, it will be held over two days on August 2 (Sun) and August 3 (Mon), with approximately 3,000 shells launched from the lake each day. The star mines and water star mines unfolding over the tranquil surface of Lake Ashi create an overwhelming sense of realism as the sound and light reverberate through the surrounding mountains. Starting this year, paid seating (¥2,000) has been newly set up on the lakeside beach, offering an even more powerful view. The grassy area is spacious, allowing you to spread out a leisure sheet and relax while watching, and with food stalls and food trucks lined up, you can also enjoy a festival-like atmosphere.
