Summary

[*Only the event period and times have been updated with 2026 information. Details for scheduled events will be updated as they are confirmed.] A festival of Kuzuryu Okami, the guardian deity, held at Lake Ashi in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture. It takes place on the fifth day of the 'Lake Ashi Summer Festival Week,' held annually from July 31 to August 5, following a Shinto ritual at Kuzuryu Shrine on the shores of Lake Ashi. However, the ritual itself is not open to the public. The launch begins at 8:00 PM, and the fireworks in the small Kojiri Bay are incredibly powerful as the sound and light reflect off the surrounding mountains.
