It takes place on the fifth day of the 'Lake Ashi Summer Festival Week,' held annually from July 31 to August 5, following a Shinto ritual at Kuzuryu Shrine on the shores of Lake Ashi. However, the ritual itself is not open to the public. The launch begins at 8:00 PM, and the fireworks in the small Kojiri Bay are incredibly powerful as the sound and light reflect off the surrounding mountains.
