Summary

Yokohama Night Flowers is a series of short fireworks displays launched over Yokohama Port. For 2026, fourteen shooting dates are on the calendar from April 4 through September 20. Each session lasts about five minutes with roughly 150 shells, fired from Shinko Pier, Osanbashi Pier, or both at once depending on the day. Both venues sit within a ten-minute walk of a subway station, making the series easy to drop in on during an evening by the harbor. There is no dedicated parking, so coming by train is the sensible choice, and the official website lists each date and venue.

Overview

Run alongside GREEN×EXPO 2027, this series brings brief fireworks sessions to Yokohama Port across the spring-to-autumn season. Depending on the date, shells rise from Shinko Pier, from Osanbashi Pier, or from both sites simultaneously, each round lasting about five minutes and numbering roughly 150. Viewing is free, with no paid seats or food stalls announced. Shinko Pier is a ten-minute walk from Bashamichi Station on the Minatomirai Line, while Osanbashi is seven minutes from Nihon-Odori Station. The brevity of each show is part of the appeal — it slips easily into a sunset or evening stroll along the waterfront. Check the official website before heading out, as the venue and schedule change by date.

Info for International Visitors

Best arrival time

Aim to arrive 30–45 minutes before the start. Each display lasts only about five minutes, so the start time is the one thing you want locked in. Viewing is from the harbor-side promenades, so take care of the breeze near the water's edge. There is no dedicated parking — come by train, via Bashamichi Station (10 minutes to Shinko Pier) or Nihon-Odori Station (7 minutes to Osanbashi).

With kids

Viewing spots sit right by the water, so keep children within arm's reach and choose places with railings or fences. With the show lasting only about five minutes, plan the walking time in advance so you don't miss the start.

Photography tips

Photos with phones or cameras are welcome. Since each round is short, set up your framing and settings before it begins. Shooting against the night lights of the harbor gives the picture a distinctly Yokohama feel.

Payment

Viewing is free and there are no paid seats. No food stalls are announced either, so pick up drinks around the station beforehand to be safe.
