52nd Aganogawa Gozareya Fireworks

Summary

A fireworks show held on the Agano River in Niigata Prefecture. As the nickname 'Gozareya' suggests, it means 'please come' in the local dialect, and every year the event draws large crowds from within and outside the prefecture. The 2026 theme is 'Arata (New) — To Change, In Order to Stay the Same.' The show begins with colorful starmines, followed by 2-shaku shells, celebratory fireworks for loved ones, and five design fireworks selected from approximately 1,000 elementary school students on the theme of summer. There is also a free live stream on the official YouTube channel.
