The 'Katakai Festival Dedication Grand Fireworks,' boasting a 200-year tradition in Katakai Town, Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture, known as the birthplace of the 3-shaku shell. The biggest highlight is the launch of the world's largest 4-shaku shell, offering a scale you can experience nowhere else. Traditional fireworks-related events such as 'tsutsu-biki' (pulling the 3-shaku mortar tube) and 'tama-okuri' (shell procession) are also held, with the entire town immersed in fireworks.
