Summary

A fireworks festival that marks the official opening of Mt. Fuji's climbing season. Held on the first Saturday of July every year at Lake Kawaguchi in Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, it heralds the arrival of summer. Known as the earliest fireworks display of the year in Yamanashi Prefecture. With Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, rapid-fire sequences, star mines, and other varieties of fireworks vividly color the summer night sky. Food trucks are also on site, allowing visitors to enjoy the fireworks alongside the festive atmosphere of a summer festival.
