Summary

The Kawaguchiko Lake Festival, held since 1917 (Taisho 6), has become synonymous with summer at Lake Kawaguchi and is the largest fireworks festival among the Fuji Five Lakes summer festivals. Against the backdrop of majestic Mt. Fuji, approximately 10,000 shells—including musical fireworks and large-scale launches—are set off, beautifully reflecting on the water's surface. In case of stormy weather, the event will be canceled and will not be postponed.
