The 62nd Isawa Onsen Hanabi Taikai is the finale of the Fuefuki City Summer Festival, held on the Fuefuki River riverbed in front of Fuefuki City Hall on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Firing runs from 19:30 to 21:00, with about 10,000 shells over the 90 minutes. Star mines built around music and color — the music star mine and rainbow star mine — fire in sustained runs. Because the launch sites sit close to the viewing banks, the light spreads right overhead wherever you stand on the riverbed. With around 50,000 visitors expected, the 20-minute walk from Isawa-Onsen Station is best taken early. Free parking for 2,000 cars is planned, about 15 minutes by car from the Ichinomiya-Misaka or Fuefuki-Yatsushiro Smart interchange, and food stalls line the venue.
