Now in its 5th year in 2026, the Shinshu Komagane Fireworks Display is held with the aim of creating a fireworks display where 'as many people as possible can feel involved,' with participation from local high school students and many community residents from the planning stage onward, working alongside the executive committee. This year, the focus is not only on the fireworks themselves but also on a production that conveys 'the story of this town.' The event expresses — through music, MC narration, and fireworks choreography — the sentiments inherited from the once-beloved 'Tenryu Furusato Festival,' the time when events came to a halt during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the journey to the present day. Furthermore, this year, support will be gathered from both within and outside the community through crowdfunding (planned to run for about one month from late June to late July). The event also aims to create a scene you'll want to share with someone special.
