Summary
A festival in Shinshu-Shinmachi, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. During the fireworks display, colorful lanterns floated down from the upper reaches of the Sai River float on the tranquil surface of Rokaku Lake, creating a magical scene. Food and drinks are available around the venue. In front of the Suibo Kaikan, local Shinshu-Shinmachi specialties such as Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) and alcoholic beverages are sold, and food stalls are planned along the riverside promenade. Parking is by reservation only, so visitors coming by car must reserve via the official website. The event goes on in light rain but is canceled in severe weather.
