The 57th 'Jantokoi Uozu Festival' is a summer festival in Uozu City held over three days. The marine fireworks festival held on Saturday, August 8, is one of the largest in the prefecture, with dynamic oceanfront staging as its main appeal. The launched fireworks reflect off the sea surface, creating large rings of light that bloom across both the sky and the water. Around the venue, the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage 'Tatemon Festival' and the 'Serikomi Chōroku' dance parade with around 2000 participants are also held, filling the entire town with excitement and energy. The name 'Jantokoi' carries the meaning 'we want lots of people to come,' and true to its name, the packed program offers something for everyone to enjoy and create lasting summer memories.
