Summary
Held in conjunction with the festival of the tutelary deity enshrined on Mt. Atago in Minami Town, Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture. This festival has ancient traditions, and as part of the rites, a portable shrine can be seen parading through the town. At night, approximately 200 beautiful shells are launched, vividly coloring Minami Town. Food stalls also line the area, offering a summer festival atmosphere.
