At 8:15 p.m., about 600 shells close the festival in a 15-minute burst. Traffic restrictions apply around the festival grounds from 3 to 10 p.m. and around the launch site from 8 to 9 p.m. Free parking covers just 80 cars, so the Nohi bus from JR Takayama Station (about 15 minutes to Machikata stop) is a handy option.
