Overview
The summer performance sends up about 10,000 fireworks over the Hida river around and downstream of Gerobashi bridge, the standout event of a four-day festival that also features Gero-odori dancing and the Ryujin-hi fire festival. The venue is a six-minute walk from JR Gero Station, convenient from the hot-spring district. Around 1,000 municipal car-park spaces are free (some paid), but congestion is expected and public transport is the recommended route.
