Summary
The 4th Gifu Nagaragawa Fireworks Festival is held along the Nagara River in Gifu City. The venue spans from downstream of Nagara Bridge to upstream of Kinka Bridge, with the launch site on the southern sandbank and the viewing area along the northern embankment. Approximately 10000 shells color the summer night sky. This festival was newly launched in 2023 by merging two traditional fireworks festivals—the "National Selection Nagaragawa Chunichi Fireworks" and the "Nagaragawa National Fireworks Festival"—and now attracts around 120,000 visitors annually as a signature summer event of Gifu.
