Overview

The launch zone spreads upstream of Yabukawa Bridge on the Neo riverbed. Arrive via Gifu Bus from JR Hozumi (about 25 minutes toward Ono Bus Center, off at Aiba-higashi, a 5-minute walk) or a 20-minute walk from Itozuki on the Tarumi Railway—a two-car local line through paddies that is half the charm. Drivers are about 5 minutes from the Tokai-Kanjo expressway's Motosu IC, with roughly 2,700 free temporary spaces across both municipalities. Attendance splits almost evenly—about 45,000 per side, 90,000 in total—and food stalls line the banks under a wide rural sky. Trains and buses back are infrequent late at night, so build slack into your return plan; with little ambient light on the country roads, a small flashlight for the walk to the station earns its keep.
