Around 70,000 people attend.

Overview

Fuji Matsuri 2026 unfolds at Chuo Park and Aoba-dori avenue in Fuji City, Shizuoka, on Sunday, July 26, with 6,060 fireworks launched between 19:30 and 20:30. The show is choreographed to music, and paid special seating secures a clear view. From JR Fuji Station, take the bus toward Yoshivara-Chuo (about ten minutes), get off at Rosetheater Iriguchi or Chuo Byoin, and walk five minutes. Drivers can use free lots including Fujisan Messee (around 300 spaces). Info for International Visitors

Best arrival time

Aim to arrive about an hour before the start; entrance areas get crowded, and the park's grass areas fill up early.

Best viewing spots

The main venues are Chuo Park and the Aoba-dori avenue in front. The avenue side is busy with stalls and foot traffic; for a relaxed view, stake out a place in the park or take the special seats.

With kids

The park is an open venue, but crowds make separation easy — set a meeting point in advance and hold small children's hands at busy times.

Photography tips

Phone and camera photos are welcome, but tripods may be restricted in paid seating — check with staff first. The park's open sightlines favor wide framing for the big bursts.

Payment

Buy the paid special seating in advance where possible. Food stalls generally take cash, so carry plenty of small bills and coins.
