Aim to arrive 30–45 minutes before the start. In the riverbed viewing area, spots near the launch site fill first. The venue is only a 5-minute walk from Izu-Nagaoka Station, but with no parking on site, plan to come by train. Many visitors also walk over from the onsen district around this time.

Best viewing spots

The riverbed along the Kano River forms the viewing area, and with the launch site so close, huge blossoms spread overhead across a broad stretch. Spots around Chitose Bridge are the closest and most immersive. Being within walking distance of the onsen inns is another plus.

With kids

Because the launch site is close, the sound carries strongly — covering small children's ears can help. The venue is a riverside bed, so keep children away from the water's edge, and with crowds growing at night, set a meeting point as well.
