The Morimachi Noryo Fireworks Festival held in Morimachi, Shuchi District, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a festival infused with the kind sentiment of allowing families who have returned home for ancestral memorial services to enjoy time together. It has continued for about 50 years and has become a summer tradition of the town. Over approximately 60 minutes, 3,000 shells are launched, vividly coloring the summer night sky and river surface with a spectacular display. Food stalls are also planned around the venue, allowing visitors to enjoy food and drinks.
