Kasuisai Okunoin Fudo-son Taisai Festival

Summary

A fireworks festival at Kasuisai Temple in Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Held annually on August 28 as part of the Okunoin Fudo-son Taisai Festival, where the main event is a grand prayer to Fudo Myoo at the Okunoin. Hand-held tube fireworks, dedication fireworks, and star mines are launched, vividly coloring the night sky. Numerous food stalls are set up around the area, and various events such as a cool evening festival are also held. During the Manto Kuyo-e (10,000 Lantern Memorial Service), the dedication lanterns floating gently on the Hojo Pond create a magical atmosphere.
